The Insignificant Foundation was founded on 23 April 2010 on Gchat, when Scott A. McKay told Candy Chan that he would want a foundation dedicated to sponsor organizations that do lots of little insignificant things like plant gardens and rescue birds. The vision of IF is for people to slow down. It is a vision of a better world. The IF does not believe in capitalism as a means of organizing humans. According to Mr. McKay, capitalism is 'good for organizing labor, but allowing it to organize everything is a mistake.' Nothing against capitalism itself. The world would be a better place IF people want less. A small good thing makes people happy. We come together for little things that are good.
